Andrea is supporting private clients in transformation periods as a personal coach in Hong Kong. She has a wealth of experience in beginning anew and re-defining herself as she moved many times with her family during the past 25 years. Her diverse roles included working in Marketing, Corporate Development and HR for a multinational consumer goods company in Germany, being a full-time mum of three children, founding a charity, serving on the board of non-profit organizations and reconnecting to academics first as a research assistant and then as a Master degree student.

Andrea has a keen interest in human nature and is striving to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Working as a coach is one way of achieving it. She helps clients explore and experiment with alternative ways of being, acting or thinking and make conscious choices that are appropriate to the situation and consistent with their values. Clients appreciate her support in focusing on the essential, reflecting in a safe and encouraging environment and breaking down challenges that seem insurmountable into achievable steps.

As a 2016 graduate from the Master Program ‘Coaching and Mentoring Practice’, offered by Oxford Brookes University in cooperation with Hong Kong University Space, she gained comprehensive theoretical knowledge as well as practical training and supervision in coaching.

Before moving to Hong Kong in 2013, Andrea was a research assistant at the Institute for Ethics in Medicine at Cologne University for three years. While she was able to learn more about scientific research, she enjoyed using her managing, facilitating and coordinating skills for the multifaceted tasks as project manager of a complex quantitative study.

Andrea began her professional career as a Marketing Trainee at Beiersdorf AG, a consumer products and health care company in Germany (1988-1992). She was selected to be part of a small team in the newly created department for Corporate Development/ M&A and finally joined Human Resources as Coordinator Trainee Programs. In addition she acquired a qualification as facilitator of meetings, a skill that she would apply at management meetings and workshops.

She holds a Diploma degree in Business Administration from University of Cologne (1997). As a student she was a committed member of AIESEC, an international student organization, and served as Vice President of the German National Committee for one year.
